Time-limited Psychotherapy
The time-limited programme is based on a Cognitive Analytic approach, which is well researched and has a strong evidence base. It is particularly well suited to people who do not usually suffer from insurmountable problems but find themselves in trouble and struggling at a particular time. Many frequently experienced problems, including anxiety, depression, difficulties in making decisions, bereavement and trauma-related issues, can be helpfully worked with in time-limited psychotherapy.
The programme involves 20 face to face sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, and regular homework assignments. In addition, the therapist provides regular written summaries and reformulations of the issues that come to light during the sessions. The sessions can be organised on a weekly basis or spaced out more widely, according to the wishes and convenience of the person seeking therapy. The inclusive cost of the programme, which can be paid in instalments, is £1375.00.
